The gazebo without side panels uses an aluminium frame which is of course rust resistant.

1. Having read a very negative review which I felt was very unfair, I would like to add my own experience of this product.
Although, due to snow it arrived too late, it was so light and easily transportable, that had it been fully waterproof,I would have kept it for use at festivals etc. My daughter and I popped it up, inspected it, sadly realising it was only water repellent, popped it back down and into case in less than 10 mins……. couldn’t have been easier, and was impressed with its stability. Anyway, would be perfect as a picnic sunshade or in a small garden.
2. I’ve not unpacked it yet because I was slightly disappointed on receiving it reading on the packaging that it wasn’t quite what I thought I had ordered. It’s 2 x 2 metres! When I placed my order I believed it it was going to be like my last one of 3 x 3 metres. There was no size stressed anywhere on the ad. Hey ho. another instance of my growing incompetance and gulability.
Now that the advert clearly states that it is a 2 x 2 metres Instant Aluminium Green stripe gazebo. I am now duty bound to re-review my own Product Review on this item. The Amazon system would not allow me to edit my original review so that is why I have posted this as a comment. Now that I have unpacked it, and erected it, some four years after the original purchase, I have found that this item is quite acceptable and well worth the £22.00 I paid for it then.
3. The mixed reviews for this product made me a bit nervous about ordering it, but the price reduction made it tempting so I took a gamble… Don’t regret it one bit, as it did its job with no problems at all, and seemed much more robust than expected. I needed a cheap, smaller than average gazebo to create a covered smoking area in the narrow gap outside my back door for a birthday party, and this did the job perfectly. Also, though it is only described as showerproof, it kept the area dry for several days despite some fairly heavy rain.

1. We got this to provide a dry area for cooking when camping. As we managed to pick one of the wettest weeks this year to go camping we did put it to the test.
The pack it comes in is very big and heavy (about 1.2m long and 14Kg), however this does reflect the quality of the gazebo and we decided it was better to have heavy but well made rather than light and broken.
The gazebo was easy to put up with 2 of us, the side walls are a little more tricky though and we didn’t leave them on at night due to the gusty conditions.
The gazebo was extremely sturdy and did turn out to be waterproof, despite some extremely heavy rain. There is a little leakage right round the very edge of the gazebo where the frame touches the fabric but to be honest if you’re going to stand right under the very edge you’re going to get wet anyway and the water does fall to the outside of the wall panels.
It was extremely gusty on one night of the holiday and we did drop the gazebo to it’s lowest height and make sure it was well guyed out and it survived with no damage at all, which was more than could be said for the awning on the caravan next door.
All in all very pleased. It would have been a five star review but I took a star off for the difficulty fitting the side walls correctly.
2. I have found this to be a brilliant gaezebo for my purposes. It is easy to put up and just as easy to take down, but it does need a minimum of two people to do it. It takes my partner and I approximately 10 minutes to erect, this includes the time it takes to open out the frame, extend the legs, and put up the sides. The sides attach to the frame with velcro fasteners, they are easy to do, but if you fasten them to tight you risk pulling them off. I have already lost one of my velcro fasteners due to fastening it too tight. The legs are extendable, with the choice of 3 different heights. When the weather is fine with minimal wind I find that the guy lines are unnessecary and the gazebo is stable enough pegged down by the legs alone. If there is wind I use the guy lines. It is recommended that you don’t leave this gazebo errected over night. Unfortunately I made the mistake of leaving mine out overnight after a party. During the night the weather changed from mild to high winds which blew my gazebo over. I had used the guy lines that time. Happily my gazebo survived and the legs hadn’t buckled. I did find that one of the plastic “D” rings on the top of the gazebo had snapped and it was this that had caused the gazebo to blow over. When errected, the gazebo is quite spacious and will easily seat 4 people sitting on fold-up camping chairs, plus 2 or 3 people standing. I errected my gazebo next to a 6 foot fence, suddenly there was a loud thud as my cat took a flying leap onto the roof of it. The gazebo roof can take the weight of at least one adult flying cat!
This gazebo comes with its own carry bag, and the gazebo is very easy to pack away into it. However, I wouldn’t want to carry it any great distnace as it is quite heavy.

Overall
As long as this gazebo isn’t used in strong winds, it is very good value for money. I shopped around before buying this. I needed a specific size that folded up and came with side panels. This was the best I could get within my price range and I am very satisfied with it. I do intend to replace the plastic “D” rings with metal ones though.

4. Bought this for our static caravan decking. Perfect size. Gives great privacy when eating out on the deck with friends. Very easy to put up and dismantle. Folds down very small and is easy to store within caravan when not in use.
